The UPSIDE DOWN Museum

September 2 is a US Holiday (Labor Day) and as a US citizen (lol), it means a long weekend. There are not much holidays in the US unlike in the Philippines. So a time like this is heaven on earth (lol) to those working offshore for a US company.

As early as May we already had a planned gateaway when this day comes. Originally, we decided to climb Baguio. One of my office mates was inviting us to come. He grew up there so he knew other exciting places to chill and relax. Ofcourse not that we haven’t been there yet - I mean like it's a common knowledge that everyone in the Philippines already visited Baguio right? Lol.

But.. because of the bad weather. A moonsoon rains or more likely a storm has been drilling Ilocos region for weeks now. Going to Baguio is simply not the safest time with its infamous terrain and the frequent landslide once there is a rain.

Last Saturday after our shift (as I have mentioned in my other post, I work night shift so our Saturday is actually Friday), we decided to just go roamed around the city. Someone suggested, we go to the Upside Down museum. None of us visited the place yet. So after our shift ends, we headed straight to the place.

The museum opens 11am and closes until 9pm. We are coming from Makati (Ayala). The museum is located at the CCP Complex, Roxas Boulevard. It wasn’t that far, in fact at exactly 10am we are already at the vicinity. Too early - we decided to have a breakfast nearby first while waiting for one of our office mates from a different shift.

Thirty minutes past eleven and we are all set. The entrance fee is ₱450 and ₱330 for PWDs and senior citizens.

The place is not big, it’s like a place for events - weddings, debut or product launches. And true to its name, the sightings are in upside-down. Cars, rooms, paintings, lanscapes, etc.

There are ushers helping patrons how to pose to achieve an awesome photo illusions.

It’s fun if you are a heavy Instagram or Facebook users. Lol. You can play with the different themes to have a jaw dropping photos.

The trick is simple. You just need to flip upside-down the photo you have taken like in the above image.
