Kinaransa Festival 2024 Grand Champion | Purok 4 Tribu Baybay

The Kinaransa Festival of Barangay Tuyom in Cauayan, Negros Occidental is an annual event that coincides with their Barangay fiesta. It should not be confused with the version in Gen. Tinio, Nueva Ecija.

“Kinaransa” in Ilonggo is synonymous with an adrenaline rush due to excitement, which inspired its founder, Benjie Magada, to name the festival as such in celebration of the vibrant, fun, and lively culture of its people. One of the highlights of the Kinaransa Festival is the street dancing and main dance competition, where each Purok showcases their creativity and talent in interpreting the festival’s theme through dance and music.

The Kinaransa Festival is the oldest in the town of Cauayan and is considered the mother of festivals in the area, now celebrating its 29th year.

This year’s Grand Champion is the entry of Purok 4, Tribu Baybay, as they successfully defended their crown and emerged victorious.
