Fried Tanigue“

Cooking ng Ina Mo

- with Chef Kulugo

I'm not much of a fish person. I don't eat a tuna sandwich because of the fishy smell and taste. I only eat fish when it is fried. Oh wait I lied, the irony of it all - I love dried fish (tuyo). Weird eh. Oh don’t bother. Lol

It's been raining for almost the whole week, yesterday going home I was thinking of what to eat for lunch. So I decided to drop by at the nearest Shopwise. I was craving for a shrimp but then when I'm lobbying around I saw some Tanigue on display. Needless to say, they look inviting.

It's been years the last time I have eaten a Tanigue. That's when I was on vacation in the province. So I thought why not a fish this time. I have been eating meat daily and I remember a swine flu outbreak in some areas of Metro Manila and the nearest town. While it is not fatal to a human, still it's a disease.

I bought a quarter kilo. It’s enough for me, I live alone (lol), I mean my family is in the province. Basically speaking, I am living independently.

I rarely cook - for one thing I'm not good at it (lol), of course I know the basic. My Mom is a good cook by the way. So I can cook rice in a rice cooker (lol). Boil a water (double lol), I mean egg.

Second, I don't want to do a lot of chores, it will compromise my Netflix and some online gaming habits - scary huh!

But for now, I will cook and I am showing it to you. So are you ready?

Then let’s go. Lol.
